Face Your Doll Fears

Dolls are creepy, especially those in your grandmas attic. It's a guy thing -- dolls make guys tremble, at least some of my whimp friends on Facebook! Anyway, her is another tongue-in-cheek shirt design.
Stuff like this would probably sell in East Village but I just have to kick myself to promote these and other shirts. I really would love to make money doing this kind of stuff. Humor is a demented natural for me!

Face Your Fears

T-shirt inspired my the tongue in cheek humor about death style of some of my work. I basically am facing my fears and poking fun at something, using it to inspire me. The cliff pics are a humorous product shot for the Zazzle blog, which showcases artist's work.

I would love to sell t-shirt concepts such as this. I want the art to have a positive message, perhaps for those that are scared of the dark, such as I was for many years.

For Starters, Keds Designer Sneakers

Keds sneakers? Yes, custom built keds sneakers through Ked's Collectives, a collaboration between Keds and Zazzle online. It's an inexpensive way to design and create a prototypes, such as you see here. Neos, which you see here, are one of my more successful shoe designs. The only problem, at $65, they are ridiculously expensive for a consumer shoe of the basic Keds sneaker. I would love to sell these but it seems impossible to make a profit unless I have them mass produced. Unfortunately, I don't want to get into the shoe sales business. Selling my designs to a shoe manufacturer is my only thought but is it really possible?

Creativity As A Profitable Business?

In other words, I want to make a living doing what I love best –– being creative through my art and design. I am looking for a niche, just one product that will sell. It's not working for me, as I am not selling my work. I realize it takes a great effort in promoting but I'd much rather have an agent or partner to manage that part of my business.

Anyway, that is why I have this post. I will be posting my work and I would love to get your perceptions and feedback. :>>
